Lee Weatherly and Kristen Thompson secured a dismissal for their Aiken, South Carolina Orthopedic Surgeon client without the necessity of an indemnity payment on his behalf.  In this case Plaintiff alleged that the Orthopedic Surgeon was negligent in his handling of communications from a home health care nurse while he was on call covering for his partner.  Plaintiff claims that the handling of this telephone call eventually led to the amputation of her leg, and over 1 million dollars in medical bills.  However, after Lee and Kristen artfully contradicted every claim made by Plaintiff’s expert, both in discovery and with their own defense experts, their clients were dismissed without the necessity of an indemnity payment to Plaintiff.
