Bowie is an associate in the Atlanta office of Copeland Stair Kingma & Lovell, where he is a member of our Healthcare Litigation group. Bowie focuses his current practice on defending physicians, physician practice groups, medical facilities and other medical service providers in medical malpractice claims and assists in developing strategies to reduce liability for the same. Prior to joining CSKL, Bowie worked for a respected Atlanta-area firm counseling clients in general liability and premises liability matters and handling general contract disputes.
Bowie earned his J.D. for Mercer University, Walter F. George School of Law, where he was a regular on the Dean’s list and was in the top percentile of his class. During law school Bowie clerked for Russell County Alabama District Court Judge Walter L. Gray, III and assisted in the District Attorney’s Office. His first endeavor out of law school was a clerkship for Chattahoochee Judicial Circuit Superior Court with Judges William C. Rumer and Frank J. Jordan, Jr., where he gained invaluable administrative and courtroom proceedings experience
