Arden Lowndes is an experienced attorney who prides herself in applying attention to detail, perseverance, and personal care to each case and client.  Having litigated a broad spectrum of cases on both the plaintiffs’ and defense side in State and Federal Courts, Arden brings a holistic perspective to her practice that allows her to see the best and most cost-effective strategy at each twist and turn.  She has represented individuals, small businesses, and large international corporations in matters big and small, including commercial litigation, admiralty litigation, probate matters, insurance coverage, product defect litigation, motor vehicle accidents, and premises liability litigation.  Arden’s practice currently focuses on representing architects and engineers and defending clients in construction defects claims.  Coming from a family chock-full of general contractors and homebuilders, Arden has found a home in this area of law and enjoys obtaining results for her clients that allow them to relax and continue to focus on building the future.

A Charleston native, Arden graduated summa cum laude from Clemson University and was tapped to join Phi Beta Kappa.  After a brief time working in Cape Town, South Africa, Arden returned home to follow in her father’s footsteps, graduating magna cum laude from the University of South Carolina School of Law.  During law school, Arden served as Managing Editor of Volume 68 of the South Carolina Law Review and received numerous academic awards and honors, including membership in the Order of the Wig and Robe and Order of the Coif.

Arden currently serves on the board of the alumni association of Porter-Gaud School, coordinating the association’s diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.  When not in the office or the boardroom, Arden enjoys running, reading, and spending time with her husband and their two young children.  She can also be found cheering on the Clemson Tigers and Everton Football Club
