Amy Cooper is Of Counsel in the Atlanta office of Copeland Stair, Kingma & Lovell. As a member of the Health Care Litigation Practice Group, Amy defends physicians, physician practice groups, medical facilities, and other medical service providers in medical malpractice claims and regulatory matters, and develops strategies to reduce liability for the same. Prior to joining CSKL, Amy practiced with a well-respected health care litigation firm in Louisville, Kentucky, where she focused her practice on the defense of malpractice and professional negligence claims made against physicians, healthcare personnel, and hospitals. Amy also formerly worked with an Atlanta-based domestic relations litigation firm, and she served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in Kansas City, Missouri, where she gained invaluable jury trial experience.

Amy earned her undergraduate degree from Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi, and she earned her Juris Doctorate from Emory University School of Law. While in law school, Amy was a member of Emory’s Mock Trial Society, and she was inducted into the National Order of Barristers. Amy has been named a Georgia Super Lawyer’s Rising Star (2018-2020) and is licensed to practice in three states.
